Index | Export Index as CSV File
Previous  Top  Next

This menu item brings up a File Save dialog box so you can choose a file to save the index in. Select or type in a filename and click the Save button. All index words are saved to the file in CSV format, which is used by Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet programs. Then you have the option of immediately viewing the file or going back to iMetaSearch.

Each index word or phrase takes up one row. There are four columns for each index word that contain the following information.

1.Word# - contains the order of the words as they were saved in CSV format. Before saving the index as a CSV file, you can sort the index alphabetically, by relevance, etc. and that is the order of words in the CSV file.
2.Relevance - contains a number between 0.0 and 1.0 that measures the relevance or "closeness" of the word to a marked index word or result. If there are no marks, then the default relevance is 0.5. This is a numerical representation of the length of the relevance bar.
3.Word/Phrase - contains the actual word or phrase.
4.#Results - shows how many results this word or phrase occurs in.

Once the index is loaded into a spreadsheet you can use any of its functions to analyze the index further.
