1. Using the Menu Bar - click File | New Search so the New Search dialog box appears as shown above, and do the following steps:

·First enter your search terms, phrases are allowed but they must be inside double quotation marks, like this: "supreme court".
·Specify the number of results to get.
·Finally, click the OK button to start the search, or the Cancel button to abort.

2. Using the Search Bar - do the following steps:

·Enter your search words and /or phrases in the edit box in the toolbar. Remember to put double quotes (") around phrases.
·Specify the number of results to get.
·Either click the Search button, or press Alt-S to start the search.

Note: After entering search terms and phrases in the edit box, you can immediately press Enter to start the search

3. Using Marked Words - searches may be done quickly by:

·In the index, mark (click checkbox of) words you want to search on.
·Specify the number of results to get.
·Click the Search button (or type Alt-S which has the same effect).

The advantage of using words from the index is that these words (and phrases) have already appeared in web results, and they can suggest other words that may prove useful in your search.

4. Using Right Click on Index Words - this is the fastest way to do another search.

·Right click on a word or phrase that you want to search on.
·Click the "Quick Search <word/phrase>" to start the search.

5. Updating Searches - choose the File | Update Search menu item. The search is re-run and all new non-duplicate results are merged into the Results.

They new results have a newer search download date, but otherwise behave like the other results and can be sorted, indexed, etc.
