Search Options

There are five options in the Tools | Show Options dialog box that affect how iMetaSearch operates:

User Interface Options

1.Whether groups, results, and words should be automatically sorted by relevance after you mark any group, result, or word. Some people find this annoying and would rather just click the Relevance column header when they want to sort by relevance.
2.Whether to show the quick tutorial when iMetaSearch first starts up. The default is that the tutorial will appear when iMetaSearch starts up.

Search Options

1.What the time limit is on searches before they are aborted. If a search hasn't completed within a set number of seconds, it is aborted and whatever results have been downloaded are used. You can set the number of seconds.
2.Next is the maximum number of words that a phrase can have. This is set at 7 words/phrase by default but you are free to set it to another number.
3.Finally is a trace option which is useful for tracking down any problems that may occur. When this option is a 1, then additional files are generated to help figure out where a problem occured.

In addition, the Search Bar lets you set the number of search results to get. By adjusting the number just to the left of the Search Button, you can get any number of search results.
